Dr. Albert Teplin:
Treasurer
Dr. Albert Teplin is a retired economist, corporate director, and financial advisor. He was on the staff of
the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. for more than 30 years . He retired from the Federal
Reserve in 2002, having served from 1989 to 2001 as chief of the Flow of Funds Section. Dr. Teplin
served on the corporate board of Viad Corp where he was chair of the audit committee and on the
human resources committee. He was also member of the audit committee and the finance and
investment committee for MoneyGram International whose major product is global person to person
money transfers and has consulted for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the
International Monetary Fund, Bureau of Economic Analysis, and European Central Bank. Dr. Teplin
earned a Certified Financial Planner™ title in 2012 and provided financial planning services for clients in
the Washington, D.C. area. He is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and holds an undergraduate degree
from the University of Wisconsin—Madison and a doctorate in economics from the Johns Hopkins
University in Baltimore, Maryland.
